This course covers the advanced prospect assessment options in GeoX. Primary emphasis is on the assessment of multiple-segment prospects with complex relationships between segments.
The material contains a large number of exercises that cover a broad range of geologic settings. A typical exercise involves a description of the problem, prediction of the results, creation of a prospect analysis, entry of segment relationships, and analysis of the results using the trial browser. Expertise is gained through repetition and use of the prospect analysis tools to assess a variety of situations. Topics to focus on will be subject to the participants requests.
The course does not provide instruction in how to perform a geologic evaluation of a complex prospect. It is intended to provide geologists and engineers with the expertise required to assess the risks and uncertainties defined by the evaluation.
Geologists, geophysicists or engineers with recent experience using the GeoX segment and prospect tools.
