    In this two-day class, participants will acquire skills that will enable them to accomplish more in less time, recognize real priorities, keep track of several projects, and establish and meet deadlines.  Participants will learn how to handle difficult priorities, demands, and stress-filled schedules.  Participants will also learn methods for handling day-to-day tasks, as well as larger projects and long-range goals, and how to utilize innovative plans for prioritizing multiple requirements.  Participants will discover how to deal with changing deadlines easily and how to get important tasks done on time, every time.

    Participants will also learn how to plan and conduct meetings in order to maximize involvement.  Discussions will focus on the basic requirements for putting together an effective meeting.  Participants will become able to develop an action plan using effective meeting practices, including setting agendas, developing ground rules, and effective follow-up.  They will also discover how to deal with the most common group problems and how to facilitate discussion. This course will include group activities, exercises, and case studies designed to give you can deliver results.
    Day 1

    Time Management 

    • Activity Assessment (type/frequency of activities, critical/noncritical, resources required)
    • Priorities
    • Organization
    • Time saving habits

    After this day, participants will be able to plan and schedule their day, week, and even longer. They will be able to properly organize a workspace for maximum productivity, identify the people and things that waste time and analyze personal time management strengths and challenges. They will also learn how to adapt to ever-changing deadlines smoothly and easily and assess the time more realistically (time required, timeframes, and deadlines). Participants will learn the correct way to respond to interruptions and to stop the habits of procrastinating and perfectionism.

    Day 2

    Effective Meetings 

    • Factors contributing to effective meetings
    • Effective meeting practices
    • Tools for better meetings

    On this day, the participants will learn the ability to discover how to plan and conduct meetings to maximize participation.  They will also learn how to develop an action plan using effective meeting practices (such as setting agendas and developing ground rules), group decision-making techniques, how to use the techniques for handling difficult group members, and learn tips on effective meeting follow-up.
